I'm AndrĂ©s Vargas, my carreer has been focused on using math, statistics, and computer algorithms to understand physics processes. I currently work as a Data Scientist in the generative AI space, using Physics and Deep Learning to solve industry challenges. I am a former physics researcher, and lifelong science and technology lover. I worked for more than five years doing software development, data analysis, and detector R&D for the CMS collaboration at CERN. Prior to coming to the states to pursue my PhD, I worked as a highschool physics/math teacher in Bogotá, Colombia for about two years. I also completed my Bachellor in the Arts of Physics at the Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas after being a highschool nerd in what was, at the time, a small town close to Bogotá.

I'm currently based in Denver, CO. and would love to grab a coffee if you reside in the area. Apart from my evident interest in science and technology, I am interested in speculative conversation about the nature of reality, human perception, social dynamics, economics, psychology, long walks in nature, Yoga, introspection and personal development. There's always something interesting about people. I have had the chance to meet people from different backgrounds and ways of life and it always fascinates me what one can learn from a simple conversation.

I regularly explore ideas that intrigue me, from the intersection of science and philosophy to everyday observations that spark curiosity. You can find these reflections in my short essays section, where I dive into topics that don't always have clear answers but are worth thinking about.
